Free Standing Lace embroidery alphabets
Lace letters can be hung, sewn onto a project, used as gift tags or strung together as bunting. With no fabric behind them, they look delicate but are surprisingly strong.

- Old English lace
Tips for free standing lace
- Hoop two layers of a good quality water soluble stabiliser, or one layer of a heavy fibrous one

- Rinse in warm water, then lay flat or shape over a form to dry
- Slow your machine down a little for the best results
Tips for stitching alphabet letters
- Line up your letters in your machine software or with a printed template before you hoop
- Stitch a test letter on scrap fabric with the same stabiliser first
