Applique embroidery alphabets
Applique letters are big, bold and quick to stitch, because most of the letter is fabric rather than thread. They are ideal for names on quilts, bunting, cushions and kids' bedroom decor.
Choose fabrics to match a room or an outfit and every name you stitch will be one of a kind.

How machine applique works
- The machine stitches a placement line to show where your fabric goes
- Lay your fabric over it and the machine stitches a tackdown line
- Trim the excess fabric close to the stitching, leaving the fabric in the hoop
- The machine finishes with a satin or decorative edge
Tips for stitching alphabet letters
- Line up your letters in your machine software or with a printed template before you hoop
- Stitch a test letter on scrap fabric with the same stabiliser first
- On towels and textured fabrics, add a water soluble topper so the stitches sit on top
