Silly Gnomes R is a playful Christmas embroidery design of a little gnome with a pointed hat, a long white beard and a round nose, holding a stack of three wrapped gifts above his head. He leans on a tall capital letter R filled with snowflakes. It is shown here with a green hat, red suit, brown mittens and a blue R with white snowflakes, but these are only suggestions. Any shades of the same colour family work well.
It makes a lovely monogram for tea towels, tote bags, cushions, Christmas stockings and gift bags, or a festive quilt block. It also suits baby clothes and bibs for a first Christmas. It sits well on cotton, linen and canvas, and on fleece or sweatshirt fabric too.
The design measures 73 mm wide by 87 mm high (2.9 x 3.4 inches), so it fits easily in a small hoop. With 14,259 stitches and 8 colour changes, it stitches up quickly for a design with this much detail. Use tearaway stabiliser on stable woven fabrics and cutaway stabiliser on knits.
