Silly Gnomes 0 is a machine embroidery design of a friendly Christmas gnome standing beside the number 0. He wears a tall pointed hat with a snowflake, has a long fluffy beard and a round nose, and carries a small lantern with a golden flame. The zero is white with blue snowflake outlines, and three baubles with fine gold lines hang around it. It is shown here in green, red, white, blue and gold, but that is only a suggestion. Any shades of the same colour family work well.
Use it on its own or as part of a number set for advent calendar pockets, tea towels, tote bags, cushions, stockings, baby clothes and quilt blocks. It sits nicely on cotton, linen or flannel, where the fill stitches and the fine snowflake details show up clearly.
The design measures 78 mm wide x 90 mm high (3.1 x 3.5 inches), so it fits a 100 x 100 mm hoop. With 14,157 stitches and 9 colour changes, it stitches up fairly quickly. Use tearaway stabiliser on stable woven fabric and cutaway stabiliser on knits.
