Merry X

Merry X is a machine embroidery design of the letter X in a flowing, curved style. The letter is filled with textured green stitches and scattered with delicate white snowflakes, with a thin white outline and diagonal bands that look like festive bunting. It is shown in green and white as a suggestion only. Any shades of the same family work, so feel free to swap them for your own favourites.

This X is a lovely way to add a winter touch to Christmas tea towels, tote bags, cushions, stockings and gift bags. It also works well as a monogram for a family name, on baby clothes or on a quilt block. It sits nicely on cotton, linen, canvas and fleece, where the snowflakes stay crisp and clear.

The design measures 55mm wide x 75mm high (2.2 x 3.0 inches), so it fits a small hoop. With 5,101 stitches and just 1 colour change, it stitches up quickly. Use tearaway stabiliser on stable woven fabric and cutaway on knits.
