Merry W

Merry W is a machine embroidery design of a capital letter W with a slightly slanted, hand-drawn look. The letter is filled with textured green stitching and scattered white snowflakes. Soft horizontal bands give it a gingham feel, and a thin white outline frames the edge. Green and white are a suggestion only, and any shades of the same family will work just as well.

Use it as a festive initial on tea towels, tote bags, cushions, Christmas stockings or baby clothes such as bibs and bodysuits. It also makes a lovely monogram or a winter quilt block. It sits well on cotton, linen, canvas or fleece, where the snowflakes stay crisp and clear.

The design measures 81 mm wide x 73 mm high (3.2 x 2.9 inches), so it fits comfortably in a 4 x 4 inch hoop. With 7,996 stitches and 1 colour change, it stitches up quickly. Use tearaway stabiliser on stable woven fabric and cutaway stabiliser on knits.
