Merry K

Merry K is a capital letter K drawn in a flowing, brush style script. The letter is filled with soft white stitching and covered in fine blue snowflakes, with a neat blue outline around the edge. It suits Christmas and winter projects. The blue and white are only a suggestion. Any shades of the same family work well, such as navy, sky blue, silver grey or cream.

Use it as a monogram on tea towels, tote bags, cushions, Christmas stockings, gift bags or baby clothes. It also makes a pretty quilt block for a winter or holiday quilt. The fill sits well on cotton, linen, twill and fleece, and the snowflake lines stand out nicely on a plain background.

The design measures 49 mm wide by 74 mm high (1.9 x 2.9 inches), so it fits easily in a small hoop. It has 5,318 stitches and only 1 colour change, so it stitches up quickly. On stable woven fabric use tearaway stabiliser. On knits use cutaway stabiliser so the stitches stay supported.
