Merry I is the letter I of a festive alphabet. It is a tall, slightly curved bar filled with dense, textured green stitching, with fine white snowflakes of different sizes stitched over it. The picture shows it in green and white, but that is only a suggestion. Any shades of the same family work, so try deep red with cream, or navy with silver grey.
Stitch it with the other letters of the set to spell names or Christmas words. It suits tea towels, tote bags, cushion covers, stockings, table runners and baby clothes, and a single letter also works well on a quilt block. It sits nicely on cotton, linen, felt and fleece, where the fill stays crisp and the snowflakes show clearly.
The design measures 15 mm wide by 74 mm high (0.6 x 2.9 inches), so it fits easily in a small hoop. With 2,308 stitches and only 1 colour change, it stitches quickly. Use tearaway stabiliser on stable woven fabric and cutaway stabiliser on knits. It comes in PES, DST, JEF, EXP, VP3, HUS, XXX, PCS, SEW, SHV, CSD, PEC and EMB.
