Merry H

Merry H is a machine embroidery design of a capital letter H in a slanted, brush-style shape with a little flourish on the crossbar. The letter is filled with red stitching that has a soft woven texture. It is scattered with fine white snowflakes of different sizes and finished with a white outline. It is shown in red and white as a suggestion only. Any shades of the same family will work, such as deep crimson, warm scarlet or soft pink, with cream or silver in place of the white.

This festive initial suits Christmas tea towels, tote bags, cushion covers, stocking cuffs and gift bags. It also works well on baby clothes, such as a first Christmas bodysuit, and on quilt blocks for a winter or holiday project. It sits nicely on cotton, linen, canvas and fleece, where the snowflakes stay clear and the red stitching stands out.

The design measures 55 mm wide x 74 mm high (2.2 x 2.9 inches), so it fits easily in a small hoop. It has 5,763 stitches and only 1 colour change, so it stitches up quickly. Use tearaway stabiliser on stable woven fabrics and cutaway stabiliser on knits and stretchy fabrics.
