Merry F

Merry F is a machine embroidery design of a capital letter F in a loose, brush style script. The letter is filled with soft white stitching that has a lightly textured look, and it is covered in fine blue snowflakes with a blue outline around the edge. It is shown in white and blue, but that is only a suggestion. Any shades of the same family work, such as icy greys, navy or pale pink.

This winter initial suits tea towels, tote bags, cushion covers and baby clothes, for example a name or monogram for a new arrival. It also works as a quilt block or on a stocking or gift bag at Christmas. It sits well on cotton, linen, fleece and sweatshirt fabrics, where the white fill stands out nicely.

The design is 43 mm wide by 72 mm high (1.7 x 2.8 inches), so it fits easily in a small 4 x 4 inch hoop. It has 3,989 stitches and only 1 colour change, so it stitches up quickly. Use tearaway stabiliser on stable woven fabrics and cutaway stabiliser on knits.
