Merry E is a single capital letter E drawn in a flowing, brush style script, with a slanted stem and curled tips on the arms. The letter is filled with red textured stitching and covered with small white snowflakes of different sizes, which gives it a cosy winter look. Red and white is only a suggestion. Any shades of the same family work well, for example burgundy with cream or soft grey snowflakes.
It is a nice choice for Christmas monograms and gifts. Try it on tea towels, tote bags, cushion covers, stockings, baby bodysuits or a quilt block in a holiday sampler. It sits well on cotton, linen and canvas, and the dense fill also looks good on fleece or felt.
The design measures 46mm wide by 71mm high (1.8 x 2.8 inches), so it fits easily in a small hoop. With 4,824 stitches and only 1 colour change, it stitches up quickly. Use tearaway stabiliser on stable woven fabrics and cutaway on knits.
