Fringe Flowers Alphabet
The flower centres in this set are made with fringe rather than a flat fill. After stitching, you cut along the fringe line and brush the threads out to create a genuinely raised, textured centre that no flat stitch can imitate.
Ease the top tension slightly for the fringe section and slow the machine. Brush firmly after cutting to open the threads up, then trim to shape. It looks wrong until it is brushed.
