Silly Gnomes U

Silly Gnomes U is a machine embroidery design of a cheerful Christmas gnome standing next to a tall letter U. The gnome wears a green pointed hat with a white snowflake, has a big white beard and a round tan nose, and is dressed in a red coat with white cuffs, gold mittens and gold shoes. He holds a small green lantern with a golden flame. Three baubles in red, green and blue, with fine gold lines, float around him. The U is blue with a pattern of white snowflakes. These colours are only a suggestion, and any shades of the same family will work.

This design suits Christmas tea towels, tote bags, cushion covers, stockings and baby clothes. It also works as a quilt block or as a name or initial gift. It sits well on cotton, linen, canvas and felt, where the snowflake texture shows clearly.

The design measures 94 mm wide x 92 mm high (3.7 x 3.6 inches), so it fits a 100 x 100 mm hoop. It has 15,277 stitches and 9 colour changes, so it stitches up fairly quickly. Use tearaway stabiliser on stable woven fabrics and cutaway on knits.
