The letter V is a plain wedge and the bird beside it is the round hen, facing straight out with her wings wide and no tail showing. The simple letter lets the bird do all the work here.
This suits a nursery cushion, a bib, a library bag or a quilt block. It is one of the simplest letters in the set to resize, since there is very little fine detail in the letterform.
