Poule drôle 01

A rooster standing side on with a shaded saddle, layered tail feathers and his beak open. This is the same bird that appears through the Funny Chickens alphabet on the letters C, H, K, Q, T, 4 and 7, here on his own with no letterform behind him.

Without a letter attached this one goes anywhere the alphabet designs would look too specific. It suits an apron, a tea towel, an egg basket liner, a coop sign, a garden tote or the pocket of a work shirt, and it is a natural repeat if you want a row of birds along a hem.

The design is 41.40mm wide by 74.60mm high, so it is well inside a 4 inch hoop with room to spare and will also fit smaller frames. Nine colour stops across 9,955 stitches, none of them repeated. Tearaway on a stable woven, cutaway on a knit.
