Ongoing Development updates

I have had a lot on my plate in the last few months. My husband had a stroke last week. My 8-year-old granddaughter was helivacked (air ambulance) to Brisbane for emergency surgery. She is okay now, but still at the Ronald McDonald house in case of further complications. My aunt’s death and her funeral on Tuesday, and my distraught mum, who has lost 2 sisters in just over a year.

Developing a website is like building a house of cards; fixing one thing can often break another. I have been developing on my local computer so I don't break the live site. But because they are different environments what works on the local site may not work on the hosted site.

My priority was to get the website mobile-friendly, which needs to be tested, and I need to adjust the ads so that it does not obstruct the mobile pages. Please understand that without those ads, I could not run this site. To test the mobile platform, I will run some random freebies. I still have a lot to do, so please don’t give me grief about not getting the test free designs.

I was not aware that a daily newsletter was being sent out. I was using a new interim email service. I have deleted the campaigns and the email list, if you are still getting a daily newsletter, please let me know so I can try to figure out which mystical force is making that happen.

I have deleted all of the previous posts because I have updated the notification system to work better. I was having trouble finding and responding to comments on my posts.

Since August last year, I have spent around 10 hours most days trying to develop a stable system for my website. There are currently 438 registered users on this site, most of whom are lovely or just quiet. However, I am quite sensitive, and I will not apologise for that. I do not tolerate snide comments from entitled individuals, and I will enforce a zero-tolerance policy for disrespect towards me or other members. When you sign up for this site and every time you check out designs, you agree to the terms and conditions that clearly state this. So, I will, without warning, disable the account of anyone whom I perceive as being in breach of those terms and conditions. This is my site, and I will decide what I put up with. I am more than happy to provide a full refund for the free designs and membership to any disgruntled members.
